High Chairs


I would recommend a high chair with with a tray option. If you're like me, aesthetics play a role, too. At home we have the Stokke Tripp Trapp and I wouldn't personally recommend it for newborns unless you have a table for the child to sit at that's near the kitchen like the photo below.


We don't have a table in our kitchen or near bye it so it makes it difficult to get dinner made while my son is eating. He has nothing to eat on unless he's in the other room all by himself (and that never goes over well). 

Since we don't have this option, we need something with a tray and haven't decided on what to get just yet. Bloom Baby makes great modern ones and a girlfriend of mine has a Svan and she seems to love it. 

Another great idea (which we also have) is to get a temporary/portable booster seat like so. It's a great idea - it's inexpensive and gives you some time to figure out which high chair works best for your family.
